The Quality Department is administratively affiliated with the Planning and Quality Agency and is considered one of the important and supportive departments in the General Administration of Education. It is concerned with supervising the implementation of the best quality standards and supporting the proper execution of various quality-related activities carried out by departments and agencies within the General Administration of Education. Among its objectives is the implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with the quality management system. It constantly seeks to build an effective system to ensure quality and academic accreditation for all members of the General Administration of Education in Jubail.

The Quality Department is also responsible for the administrative and organizational tasks related to quality management systems and for setting standards to achieve the highest levels of quality and academic accreditation. This is done by developing electronic platforms to automate and document the processes of institutional and programmatic academic accreditation, ISO specifications, and supporting colleges and institutes in maintaining local and international academic accreditations, to achieve various goals that contribute to improving the performance quality of all educational and training quality processes.

The department also aims to promote a culture of quality and accreditation, as well as the concepts of quality management systems, across all departments and agencies of the General Administration of Education by organizing lectures, seminars, training courses, and workshops in cooperation with relevant departments and agencies responsible for development and quality within the education sector.
