Program Educational Objectives
Graduates of the MIS program will be expected to:
1. Pursue a successful career in information systems and technologies or related fields
2. Be effective in the design of computerized information systems solutions and the practical application of management and information systems principles
3. Effectively lead, work and communicate in cross functional teams
4. Enhance their professional skills by means of continuous education and professional development
5. Demonstrate professional and ethical responsibilities towards their profession, society and the environment as well as the respect for diversity
Students Outcomes
- Explain the business theories and practices that are relevant for IS environment
- Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions
- Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.
- Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts
- Support the delivery, use, and management of information systems within an information systems environment
- Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.
- Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
